Kristen Gilbert, hails from White Marsh, MD, and began her sophomore year at Notre Dame of Maryland University declaring English as her major. Aspiring to be an author, she is excited to receive the award, and anxious to hone her mastery of the written word. Kristen has been a member of the National Honor Society since 2007. Megan T. Hobbs, of Walkersville, MD, is majoring in English and History. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Notre Dame's drama club, Ye Merrie Masquers. Megan's interest in English was sparked very early when she enjoyed writing in elementary school.
